Projections, We Got Projections
As of 8:00 p.m. ABC News is projecting Kerry 74, Bush 66, with Florida, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Ohio all too close to call. CNN has it Kerry 77, Bush 66. MSNBC has it Kerry 77, Bush 66.
UPDATE 8:55: All major media outlets are currently projecting Bush 102, Kerry 77. However, remember that Zogby call I mentioned earlier? So far the race is coming in exactly the way that Zogby called it.
UPDATE 9:10: Current major media projections are Bush 155, Kerry 112. Zogby still on track. Still no calls on the major battleground states.
UPDATE 10:30: Major media now have it at Bush 193-196, Kerry 112. Zogby's projections are still holding, with the possible exception of Ohio. Ohio currently has Bush +4 with 36% of the vote in. Still no call on Florida with 86% of the vote in. Florida is currently Bush +5 with Kerry-friendly Miami metro area yet to be counted.
UPDATE 11:45: Well, kiddies, this is where things start to get weird. NBC has it 207-199 Bush, CNN calls it 197-188 Bush, and ABC is going out on a limb with Florida and calling it 237-188 Bush. If Kerry picks up Nevada and New Hampshire, both currently leaning Kerry, we could still be looking at a 269-269 tie. Don't know if I'll be awake much longer; this one's just going to keep on going...
