Promptergate - The Story That Refuses To Die
While we have been following for the past week the story of Bush's supposed use of audio prompters during public appearances, we have elected to stay out of the fray until now. This afternoon Cannonfire published a link to this video clip. If you look carefully at the clip, you will notice that at the 0:05 second mark Bush adjusts his jacket. At that moment you can clearly see a black cable just to the right of Bush's tie between his tie and shirt.
For those of you who may be unfamiliar with what has been dubbed "Promptergate," you can catch up on the speculation by reading over the following links.

The New York Times weighs in. (subscription required)
Photo of something suspicious in Bush's right ear.
CNN video of a phantom voice feeding Bush his lines.
Salon.com picks up the story.
And you can find a nearly complete history of this story put together by Joseph Cannon at Cannonfire.
UPDATE: www.isbushwired.com is back online as of 9:00 pm est Oct. 10, after apparently being slashdotted.
